For about the last ten years, I've been writing about innovation for publications like the Boston Globe, the New York Times, Wired, Variety, Fast Company, the Hollywood Reporter, Salon.com, BusinessWeek, and Newsweek. I helped start (and continue to help run) three conferences: Future Forward, the Nantucket Conference on Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and Convergence: The Life Sciences Leaders Forum. I'm not sure if this is going to work with a pub as big as the Globe, but I know that with my local paper in Newton I hear a voice on their blogs. When I comment they respond, there is a personal connection between the reader and the editors. I feel the same from you on this blog.
However, I don't know if that converts into ad revenue, but it does make for a strong connection.
